Very few orchids are fragrant… one of them is Aerides crispa, which flowers during blazing sunny conditions. On a trail in the forest you might come across this beautiful orchid with light fragrance.

Aerides crispum (Scientific name)
This is an endemic, uncommon epiphytic orchid found mainly in Western Ghats and Kokan. 
In Marathi, it is called as 'Droupadi Pushpa'. Pink colored flowers have nice fragrance. 
Flowers appear during May.
