We provided inputs to Schenectady Herdillia Ltd, Pali, Maharashtra, in 2004 for providing a framework of biomass planning according to species, land size, resource availability and duration for solid fuel.

With increasing prices & diminishing resources, future fuels could be based on biomass that can be grown in short durations. Creating biomass with appropriate ecological planning needs to be planned as per demand of fuel, then only real ‘energy friendly energy alternatives’ can be developed. The same was planned for Schenectady Herdillia Ltd that considered active involvement of local people.
