Dear Nature Lovers,
Greetings from oikos !
In light of the discussions in earlier months, it can be concluded that
we need to incorporate ecological principles in day to day life.
How do we do that ? Through simple measures like -
Being a conscientious consumer, Changing the life style,
Realization of need & greed, Nurturing nature on land etc.
In next few months we will try to cover solutions
which have been successful in conserving nature at small or larger scale.
Let’s start with household garden or a farmhouse garden.
We need to keep a wild corner in manicured spaces !
This can create safe habitat for tiny wildlife in the surrounding.
This way liveliness is created on the land, not just greenery.
Conservation can start with such small steps ! |

We at oikos have been working on ‘Forest restoration’ project in Koyna catchment since 2005. Positive results can now be seen on land where focus is to restore resources like soil, moisture first. Click Here for details
