Native's Nursery
Native plants play a crucial role in maintaining ecosystem balance. They provide habitat and food for local wildlife, help prevent soil erosion, and contribute to water conservation by being more adapted to the local climate.
Use of native plants in all plantation related activities is well understood by everyone now. Since beginning, oikos has recommended using native species in every project and thus initiated it’s awareness and propagation with establishment of Native’s nursery in 2004.
By promoting native plants, we are not just encouraging the beauty of local landscapes but also fostering healthier ecosystems.
Native species are the plants which are evolved naturally and best suitable for local ecology.

A Group of nurseries propagating native plants
Given the limited availability of native plant saplings, a few nurseries came together to form a group dedicated to offering a wider variety of native species. Today, the group provides over 250 species of trees, shrubs, climbers, herbs, and grasses, all suited to different planting needs.
